The Alexander Technique teaches you to let go
of unnecessary muscular tension. It teaches you to use your
body effectively and efficiently and thereby deals with many
of the underlying causes of tension, undue tiredness, aches
and pains, stress and strain.
I
use gentle guiding touch to demonstrate key ideas and to help
you release tension. This gives you a practical experience of
what the Alexander Technique can offer.
During
lessons people often find themselves breathing more easily and
fully, they feel more relaxed and alive (not realising how much
tension they were carrying until they let go), invariably they
smile, they feel more aware of themselves and have greater clarity
of mind. People find they are more genuinely able to express
themselves as they learn to let go of old habits and self-limiting
ideas.
